Child of the King
I am thankful to be a child of the King of Kings
I find my place of safety and refuge underneath His wings
The God of Israel is my beloved friend
This is an eternal friendship that will never end
The LORD Jesus is powerful and He is on my side
The Holy Spirit dwells in me and is my faithful guide
The LORD only has my best interests at heart
He remains faithful, so we shall never be apart
The LORD makes me courageous and ever so strong
It's to Him, that I belong!
He makes my paths straight before me as I trust in Him
He has washed me in His blood and cleansed me from my sin!
His forgiveness is amazing, His mercy it is sure
To every situation, Jesus is the cure!
He guards my heart with purity, His burden is so light
In the LORD Jesus Christ, I take all my delight!
He is my beloved, the strength of my soul
He fights for my freedom and makes me whole
He pleads my case and rights my wrongs
He fills me with His glory songs
The LORD never leaves me, for He is devoted
In the Lamb's Book of Life, there my name is noted
Purchased by the blood, the gift of grace
Soon I shall meet my Saviour face to face!
The LORD is good and merciful and He is just
It is in His name that I put my trust
While there is breath in my lungs, I will serve the LORD Jesus Christ
For He is the Way, the Truth and the Life
Nothing can compare to the LORD's great glory
He is mighty, He is strong and He is holy
Great are His works, I will remember all that He has done
He will finish what He started; He will complete what He has begun
The LORD does not give up on anyone
The Spirit and the Bride say, "Come!"
Heaven is eternal and is not too far away
Jesus will take me there and keep me safe I pray
Life can be so good when you put Jesus first
Because I believe in Him, I shall never thirst
I shall not hunger for Jesus is the bread of life
I place my faith in His sacrifice
There is no greater love, there is no greater joy
All of the devil's works He shall destroy
He preserves my soul and watches over me
He delivers and sets my spirit free!
