This painting is inspired by the verse from 1 John 4:18, 'There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.'

God's love is described as perfect love. It is eternal, unwavering, unconditional and extravagant. His perfect love casts out all fear in our lives. The three tulips represent God in three persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. His love and acceptance drives out all fear. He desires for us to let Him love us, so that all our fears which limit and hold us back will fade away by the power of His love.
